Engineered for Longer Life and a Smoother Ride

PROBLEM
“When I change the gear ratio in my Ford® Bronco® due to other modifications, I want to be sure that my upgraded gearing is original equipment quality—or better.”

SOLUTION
Spicer® ring and pinion gearing for the Bronco is precision-machined to deliver a smoother, quieter ride and up to double the life of non-genuine parts.

Choose Spicer® ring and pinion gearing for your Ford® Bronco® for a genuine factory-grade fit. Dana design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing processes all work together in Spicer ring and pinion gearing to deliver performance that non-genuine parts can’t match.

Heat-treated and precision-machined for exceptional durability

Ring and PinionGenuine OE-Quality Gearing for Your Bronco

Spicer gearing offers the easiest possible set-up, a quieter ride and unsurpassed strength.

  • Precision-machined and heat-treated for consistent quality, exceptional durability, and enhanced lifespan
  • Engineered to ensure matched sets and mating of the gears
  • Maximizes powerful four-wheel drive capabilities and provides optimal performance
  • Manufactured with a special grade of steel

Dana 44™ AdvanTEK® Gearing Technology

The gearing used in today’s Dana 44™ axles has a 226 mm ring gear size and has a torque capacity of 8200Nm. The new generation Dana 44™ AdvanTEK® gearing has a smaller 220mm ring gear size—but has the same torque capacity of 8200Nm.

  • Improved gear power density for smaller, lighter axles
  • Gear geometry designed specifically for use with aluminum housings
  • Improved efficiency through lower hypoid offsets

Spicer Finishes First in Fatigue Tests

The Test: Each gear is installed in a production axle, which runs on a dyno until the gear fractures. Both high-load and low-load simulation tests are performed.

Cycle Testing: Competitive Gears (Low Load)
Cycle Testing: Competitive Gears (High Load)

The Result: Under low-load conditions, Spicer ring and pinion gears performed more than twice as many cycles as the competition. Under high-load conditions, Spicer ring and pinion gears lasted nearly three times as many cycles as the closest competitor!

Axle Technology to Handle Today’s High-Torque Engines

The proven, reliable, Dana AdvanTEK® range of drive axles offers class-leading efficiency, refinement, and durability. AdvanTEK axles are rugged, yet lightweight, and offer best-in-class noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) performance with greater power density.
